The New York Jets and rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez mark their Cinderella season by shocking their way to the AFC East with a 17 – 14 win over the San Diego Chargers who had an 11-0 run prelude to the post season.
For the Jets and newly hired first season coach Rex Ryan the season is a phenomenal achievement for the team which has not won two consecutive post season game since 1982. The Jets faces a tougher challenge ahead next Sunday when they play the Colts next Sunday in Indianapolis.
